Cognizant Technology Solutions was hit by a ransomware attack known as Maze. This attack unfortunately comes on top of the intimidating Corona turmoil.

Sophisticated ransomware attackers have a history of often successfully penetrating many other companies, including airlines, FMCG, and manufacturing industries.

While trying to cope up with these type of Ransomware attacks, it is evident that the organizations draw upon the expertise of the in-house IT and security teams and engage the expert and leading cyber security personals along with relevant government authorities to resolve the incident. The in house IT and cyber security teams can really have tough time to resolve it and may be enforced to take several client servers offline or isolate them.

Maze ransomware was discovered in 2019 by Jérôme Segura, according to Malwarebytes, an anti-malware provider.

The forensic experts can also be engaged to track the forensic data that can be used to identify potential malicious activity so that clients and their security teams can take any required steps to detect attacks in their own systems.
