Italian browser security provider Ermes Cyber Security secured an initial funding of €3 million for its Series A Round, led by Sinergia Venture Capital. The company expects to close the Series A funding round by year-end, and has outlined plans to invest in product development, cyber research, communication, and marketing efforts.

This announcement marks the initial stage of Ermes’ transformation into a joint stock organization named Ermes Cyber Security SpA. The company anticipates its restructuring will amplify its global impact. Ermes CEO and co-founder Hassan Metwalley plans to “position Ermes as a successful example in the IT and software industry”.

Beyond the proposed enhancements, Ermes aims to leverage AI-based browser security technologies to fortify businesses against cyber threats, while also fostering collaborations with new companies to deliver tailored security solutions.
