Healthcare cybersecurity company ConsenSys Health acquires FHIRBlocks. InfoSum and Monte Carlo close a Series B and Series C funding round, respectively.

Otava, a Michigan-headquartered cloud solutions provider, has announced its acquisition of NewCloud Networks, a Colorado-based cloud computing services provider. The acquisition provides Otava a product portfolio that includes security services, cloud backup, disaster recovery, remote desktop, production cloud, and a comprehensive managed security toolset.

ConsenSys Health, a New York-based deliverer of Ethereum-based solutions for cybersecurity, compliance, bioethics, and identity in the healthcare industry, has acquired FHIRBlocks, which specializes in secure patient data-sharing tools. “FHIRBlocks provides the functionality required for patient privacy and data-sharing consent,” said founder and chief executive officer of ConsenSys Health Heather Flannery.

Funding

InfoSum, a London-based data privacy startup providing businesses a platform for secure data sharing, has secured $65 million in a Series B funding round led by Chrysalis Investments, which backs disruptive technology startups.

California-based data observability startup Monte Carlo has secured $60 million in a Series C funding round headlined by ICONIQ Growth, with participation from Salesforce Ventures along with existing investors including Accel, GGV Capital, and Redpoint Ventures.
